Pestalozzi-Bibliothek Zürich celebrated its opening as the first public library in District 5 in Zurich on Saturday, 24 August 2019. Alongside the opening ceremony, we developed a comprehensive, follow-up communication concept in association with Pestalozzi-Bibliothek Zürich in order to demonstrate the relevance of the library in the modern age.

The main aim was to publicise the extremely wide range of services offered by Pestalozzi-Bibliothek Zürich, as well as its social commitment, with a fun campaign in the run-up to the event. These aspects were then given centre stage at the opening ceremony on 24 August 2019. As well as presenting the library itself, along with its extensive services for education and leisure, an attractive supporting programme with music, children’s entertainment and delicious culinary delights was also provided on the day of the event.

Thanks to a mix of targeted advertising measures, we and PBZ were able to welcome around 2,500 visitors to the opening ceremony.
